Spitfire and Tempest (Shared Components) 2.6 is a software simulation program add-on for users of Microsoft’s Flight Simulator FS2004 and FSX programs that provides them with two famous types of World War 2 planes to fly and include in their flight simulation collections. This program features detailed reproductive models of the Spitfire and Hawker Tempest fighter planes from the 1940’s WW2 era. The Spitfire and Tempest (Shared Components) 2.6 planes have 2D and 3D cockpits with animated pilots and canopies and the door and radiator flap of the Spitfire is also animated. Other effects include custom sound effects and firing guns, flames, smoke and special effects like the dropping of cartridge cases. Two color scheme options of camouflage gray/green or tropical tan/brown are available and an AeroPaint tool is also provided for users who wish to create a more personal look to their aircraft. Both types of aircraft feature rear white formation lights and win tip navigational lights. The cockpit interiors have 2D and 3D options providing a realistic feel to instruments. The Spitfire and Tempest (Shared Components) 2.6 program actually includes three planes, of two types, representing the Spitfire MkVB 1942 model, the Spitfire MkVB Tropical 1943, and the Tempest Mk V of 1944. |
